Smart Back Pack For Physically Handicapped Person

One of the most common problem faced by the physically challenged and disabled persons is to conduct day to day activities without anybody's help.They even face the problem to navigate one place to another with out any one help.
An Embedded System is a computer that has been built to solve only a few very specific problems and is not easily changed.In contrast,a general purpose computer can do many different jobs and can change at any time with new programs for new jobs.
Here we have a navigation system for the physically disabled persons to navigate from one place to another.System consists of an obstacle detection.Thus when the obstacle is detected it sends an interrupt signal to micro controller and a voice command is given out about the obstacle detected.
A RFID reads the particular tag shown by the person and sends voice message to the IC through the microcontroller,then the voice command comes out regarding the particular tag.
Example if a tag consists of a kitchen room or drawing room then the voice command gives out as a drawing room.In the system the wheel chair is controlled by MEMS and move forward.i.e; if a disabeled person shows a tag and gets a voice command as a kitchen room but he want to go to another room then he just want to move his hand so that mems recognize it and moves.So we are going to control wheel chair by using MEMS which is of very small connected to head or elbow.

We have ultra sonic module also which will detects the obstacle is nearer means if a person is near to the obstacle he will be detected and alerted with a voice command.And the tag is placed at different places if a blind people wants to know about the thing information is given to Bluetooth module by micro controller  and it is transferred to Bluetooth inbuilt in the android mobile.The corresponding information or application related to the tag is opened .in the android mobile.The image and voice related to the tag is displayed. Hence by using this system we can get the information what we want.
With proposed system if it developed accuracy the blind people can move forward from one place to another without others help.If such a system is developed,it will act as a basic platform for the generation of more such devices for the visually impaired. For the future which will be cost effective.
And as far as the localization it will provide the accurate details of the location of the blind.in case they lost with the help of GPS we can get it.It will be real boon to blind.The developed prototype is a good result in detecting obstacles placed at a distance in front of user 
Technology has been varying day to day.This is one of the best example where we can say that how much drastic change in the technology.
